Citywide Water Resources Infrastructure
Project Owner: City of Scottsdale
Project Type: Job Order Contracting
Construction Dates: 04/20 to 04/25
This project includes water and sewer infrastructure improvements in public right-of-way throughout the City of Scottsdale. Work involves the installation of new sewer lines, water lines, removal and replacement of sewer and water mains, manhole construction and reconstruction, demolition of existing water and sewer facilities, large diameter valve installation/replacement, and associated apparatus.
The first job order under this contract included the installation of more than 3,200 LF of water line (16”, 12”, and 6”) on Scottsdale Road from Princess Boulevard to Mayo Boulevard, including five manholes for air release valves and camera inspection. We carefully excavated and installed a segment of the water line under an existing double barrel box culvert, avoiding the need for a jack and bore.
We are installing more than 5,000 LF of waterline (16” and 24”) from the intersection of Mayo Boulevard and the Loop 101 to the entrance of the City of Scottsdale Water Campus. More than 800 LF of the pipeline will be installed within steel casings (30” and 42”) under the Loop 101. The project also includes the installation of four 2” optic conduits along the pipe alignment.
